One class includes 3 courses
1 - Instructional Class (Spring)
2 - Bee Yard Inspection (Summer)
3 - Harvesting & Extracting Honey (Fall)

We will give you simple down to earth advice which will help you become a better, more successful beekeeper. Make educated decisions, about what is really necessary and what is optional. Covering all the basics and essentials you need to know from getting started all the way to harvesting your first box of honey

• Learn beekeeping skills from Lee Knight and Neil Shelley two beekeepers that have been keeping bees successfully along the Wasatch front.
• 6 hours of classroom instruction in a small class size, We will answer all your questions
  
• Learn all the basic information, equipment, and tools needed to be successful
  
• Learn how to set up your hive and install your package of honeybees, correctly. (Miss a few critical elements at this time and your bees may be in for a world of hurt).
  
• Learn how to manage & maintain your new hive through the unpredictable Utah seasons.
  
• Experience hands on training in a bee yard inspection where all of your mid summer questions can be answered and bad habits can be addressed.
  
• Learn how to produce your first of many honey crops
  
• Wrap up the year with hands on training of harvesting, extracting, and bottling skills learning how to get your honey from your hive to your table.
  
• Support through the entire season from the instructors! Get your questions answered through out the summer quickly, preventing problems from becoming unmanageable.
